Discovering Ontario

On June 5, Jane and Bruce competed in the Discover Ontario Rally, round 5 of the ORRC series. Brooke was up to his old tricks, i.e. new tricks, in the instructions. Two of his instructions caught all three teams running the expert set of notes. One was totally obscure (a one-off tulip that we were to recognize as mirrored because the stop sign lines were incorrect), and another was blatant (a note in bold that we all missed). There was one missing tulip in another section that caused the Moore's and Leonard's to pass each other at a probable approach speed of, hmmm, let's just say that it was quick. The rally lives up to the title; we started in Woodstock, went through Tillsonberg (I think), and ended at Moose Winooski's in Brantford. We ended up in second with 10 points to Moore's 3. Overall, a good rally.

Next event - Black Bear.
Note to self after our trip to Lanark: when pulling a car on a trailer and following gps directions, make sure that "allow dirt roads" is disabled.
