Here in St. John's
We've arrived in St. John's, having had great weather all the way from Georgetown. We've seen hills, mountains, rocks, seas, cliffs, lakes, waterfalls, trees, rocks, lakes, and more rocks. We've seen 3300 km of road, from the TCH in Newfoundland (great highway) to Route 463 (see the picasa album).
Tomorrow we register, get the car decalled and put on the official Targa licence plates, and get the car checked over. Then we'll do the odometer calibration, attend a competitors meeting, and Jane will attend a first aid course. We'll have the use of the car until about 6 pm, then it has to go in to the arena, and we'll have to beg rides or get taxis to and from the hotel.
A challenge for us will be figuring out what to take with us. We can pack a suitcase that will be taken on a truck from town to town, or we can pack everything we need for 5 days and secure it in the car. We'll be able to leave anything else at the hotel till we return Friday. We've got two days to figure that out. Busy day tomorrow.
